Michelle and Akoni lead Kalo Ohana Ranch together under God’s guidance, built on shared values of discipline, stewardship, excellence, and respect for His creation.

Michelle is a National and collegiate reining, eventing, and cow horse rider with over 20 years of riding and professional training experience. Her background blends technical precision with feel, timing, and horse-first horsemanship.

Akoni is the fixer of all and the backbone of ranch operations. With incredible attention to detail and strong horsemanship, he ensures every system, stall, fence, and horse is operating at the highest standard. He is the barn husband of barn husbands and the best ranch manager around.

Together, they create a structured, faith-centered environment where horses and riders thrive.

Our four kids are integral to the ranch and assist with horse desensitization — strollers, basketballs, noise, flags, and movement. They’re true pros at helping produce calm, confident, real‑world‑ready horses.
